Muckno Lodge – Spacious Cottage with Lake views

This is an absolutely fabulous house in a picturesque part of County Monaghan.

It has five roomy bedrooms, an enormous living/dining area with a wood-burning stove for cosiness, a well-appointed kitchen and great outdoor space and reliable WiFi. There is also a games room with pool/air hockey.

The views from all windows take in green fields and beautiful cows along with a small lake where swans glide about.

You are a five-minute drive from Castleblayney, which has supermarkets, a fantastic fish store (I mean fantastic: clams, oysters, mussels, prawns, and on and on), two butchers, at least one vegetable shop, etc.

Angling is practically right outside your door.

For children, nearby Lake Muckno has a playground and an adventure centre.

The lake also has wonderful walking/running trails and there is a pretty walk along part of the Monaghan Way as well.

The family who run the property are nearby and respond to any issue immediately and graciously. And they are LOVELY.

I cannot recommend this property enough. Stay here.
